FAQs

Bouldering is a form of rock climbing performed on shorter walls (usually 10–15 feet high) without the use of ropes or harnesses. Instead of a rope, thick padded mats are used to help protect you when you fall. It’s a social, problem-solving sport that challenges both your mind and body.

Do I need experience to climb?

Not at all! Bouldering is very beginner-friendly. We have routes ("problems") set for every difficulty level, from complete beginners to pro athletes. Our staff will give you a quick orientation on your first visit to help you navigate.

Wear comfortable, athletic clothing that you can move freely in. Yoga pants, leggings, or gym shorts are great options. We recommend avoiding jeans or clothing that restricts movement. You will need climbing shoes, which you can rent at our front desk.

Do I need to bring my own gear?

The only gear you need is climbing shoes. If you don't have your own, we offer rental shoes. Many climbers also use chalk to keep their hands dry, which is available for rent or purchase. You do not need a harness or rope.

Absolutely. If you are accompanying a climber (like a parent watching a child) but not climbing yourself, you generally do not need to pay a day pass, though you will still need to sign a waiver to enter the climbing area.

Can I just watch?

Yes. Everyone entering the facility—whether climbing or just watching—must have a signed waiver on file. Climbers under 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. You can fill this out online before you arrive to save time!

What is the minimum age to climb?

We welcome climbers of all ages! However, children 13 or younger must be actively supervised by an adult at all times. For very young children (under 6), we ask that parents stay within arm’s reach while they are on the wall.
